Persona 5 and MP Trilogy was expected but this LTTP news threw me off.
It's still a handheld. You need them to spell it out for you?
When a real pokemon game comes to the platform, that's confirmation enough that Nintendo/GameFreak is treating it like a handheld. GF has maintained that they would only release mainline pokemon games on Nintendo's handhelds.
If the switch wasn't a hybrid/handheld we wouldn't be getting the game.
Throw in all the other handheld titles that were previously on the 3DS/DS moving to the Switch. And all those indies that would have gone to the 3DS.
It's not a hand held. It's a home console (Nintendo's own words) that you can take with you. It's referred to as a console by every retailer selling it, too.
Arguing it's a hand held because you can take it with you is like arguing the Gameboy is a home console because this exists:

As far as ports....I don't even know where you're going with that. Obviously they're porting hand held games to it....it's portable.
Literally no one refers to it as a hand held. They refer to it as a home console, or a "hybrid". I mean....the fact that Nintendo referred to it as the next generation of hardware after the Wii-U....and not the next generation of hardware after the 3DS....should be a big ass clue as to what it is.

Compare paying as low as 80 bucks for a 3DS to 300 to a switch...once the price lowers and/or the handheld only version drops, Nintendo will push the handheld perspective more.

Console. Not hand held. So....I'm not even sure what we're arguing about here.
I've never even heard of anyone refer to the Switch as a handheld prior to you, and this thread.

I LOVED Phoenix Wright games on the DS. I don't think I beat them all though, I know I must've stopped playing a few.
