We're on the blood path now
I'm using my switch a bit more now that I'm finally getting somewhere in breath of the wild. Really dope game and possibly/probably the best Zelda of all time, but being free to do whatever will get you lost and confused real quick. I'm thinking I should get a 3rd party game soon. The two games I have for switch are long and there isn't much pure action as there is exploring (Zelda and odyssey). A shooter would really go a long way for me, esp when I use it at work. I want the other great rpgs, but I'll have to off bc of the length or the games.

yeah I am pleased with the Switch too. I have had it maybe a month or so... its awesome.

Yes, and I'm kicking myself for not buying one sooner. It also works with android, windows, and apple products. They also make a 2.4ghz wifi version. No sync issues like I had with a prior third party controller I had purchased.
I also bought a dongle from the same company (8bitdo) when I picked up this controller that lets you use ps4 and xbox controllers with the switch. So far no sync issues with it either. It too makes it so that you can use your old game pads with android, apple, and window devices as well.
The controllers also also have motion functionality too unlike lots of others.
If you have PS4 controllers, the dongle also supports their built in motion controls as well.
Make sure to update the software on both products before trying to connect them. With the dongle, the instructions don't say it, but you need to hold down the pairing button as you plug it into the usb port on your computer.
I never had a wii U or played mario 64 either, so all these releases are brand new for me. Tons of third party support and some cross play already with minecraft. It checks the nostalgia boxes along with having modern graphics and controls. Plenty of AAA local multiplayer games makes it so that I get to play with my daughter and create those lasting nintendo memories with her now too. Plus it plays youtube. The portability and the fact that it comes with a pair of sticks attached to it makes this thing a truly great and unique piece of technology.
Plus it's also unassuming and non-pretentious at the same time. Pulling it out in public doesn't garner much attention, and there's no fan boy bullshyt that comes with owning one and talking software outside of the occasional, yet often valid, criticisms of how nintendo is ran. I love it.

The new Pokemon game will be just like Let's Go (same graphics and everything). Unless Monolith's Kyoto Studios were assigned to the Pokemon team we're not going to get an open world BOTW-esque game. GameFreak is unambitious and it's frustrating as hell.
