They still have a lot of work to do and 2018 seems like "port szn" but Switch year 1 was a good startA year just flew on by, feels like yesterday that Nintendo was doomed and going 3rd party by the summer.

This is dead ass the GOAT system since SNES to me. I was in a dark place for the PS2 era so I can't speak on it, but yeah....I haven't turned on my PS4 in months.
I got a BB gift card to use up and trying to decide between Mario Rabbids (on sale for $30), Skyrim and Mario Kart or pre-ordering Kirby. I never played Skyrim or had a WiiU if that makes a difference. What would everyone suggest?

Honestly I still wish Nintendo would go 3rd party. It would save me the money of buying their hardware simply to have it be a dedicated Nintendo box. I'm guessing we won't see till year 3 and 4 if the Switch will really be any different. I'm still giving this thing the side eye because we've seen stuff like the Wii sell a lot and still not get third party respect.A year just flew on by, feels like yesterday that Nintendo was doomed and going 3rd party by the summer.
You are correct. For that very young audience, this is definitely the better choice of console between the big 3.Question, I want to get a system my daughter and I can play together online while I'm away for a few months. She's only 6. From the outside looking in this system seems like it has more games created to be kid friendly than xbox and ps4. Am I right?

However, for a 6 year old, I would definitely recommend a 3DS over the Switch. It's smaller and easier to hold, there's a more fleshed out library with tons of games for little ones (Disney Magical World, Animal Crossing, Super Mario Maker which my 5 year old niece plays daily), and is cheaper. The Switch isn't a bad call, specially if you want them to play on a big screen, but I feel they'd be right at home with a 3DS.
Animal Crossing on the 3DS is a great life simulator and you guys can visit each other's towns and homes. Fish together, design clothes. It's a lot of fun.
3DS or 2DS is a good console for her. Mario Kart bundles are still out there I believe.
