I wouldn't read to much into it. They would've put a 2018 date on the reveal trailer if that was the case.

There's going to be a new interactive experience for the Switch revealed tonight at 5PM ET.
They specifically said it was aimed at kids and those who are kids at heart so everyone can take their hype down a bit.

^^^ I wouldn't hype that new announcement sounds like it might be a new peripheral or some switch accessories

I wouldn't read to much into it. They would've put a 2018 date on the reveal trailer if that was the case.

Yeah I just saw the verified reddit poster and that survey that said it was 2018 release but I'm not putting too much stock into it

The reasons I think it might drop cause xenoblade 2 shockingly came out the year it was announced and Platinum have been hinting at bayo 3 all last year which had me thinking they've been working on this for quite a while I assume
