Yea, the Shaq stuff is wild but nothing new of course. Shannon Sharpe raised the point tho: you call yourself most dominant but how dominant were you really with just 1 mvp?
Or to paraphrase and expand:
after your first title you progressively got more out of shape, overweight, deconditioned, didn’t take the regular season seriously, and in your 8 seasons with the Lakers (1997-2004) you only had the #1 seed in the West once (2000) despite having superior roster talent at least half of those years… which opened up the doors for Malone, Jordan, Iverson, Duncan x2, and KG to snatch up ”your” MVPs.
Basically, being “most dominant” in select moments is fine.. but don’t get mad when future players that you may feel you were “better” than, put in the actual effort to maximize their talents, team talent, and win the seasonal accolades that you were too wishy-washy to pursue when you had your chance.
