Nikki Bella Just Wants To Be Appreciated

People haven't come around on Nikki's in-ring yet?

SHE seems annoying as fukk, and her endless title reign pissed me off, but Nikki definitely became quite decent in the ring by like 2013 or so.

This is why she'll never be appreciated. All people remember/believe is that she undeservedly went over certain people and the only reason she was ever prominent is because she was fukking the face of the company.

This ain't about being famous or being a recognizable pop culture fixture. It's typical woman behavior. It doesn't matter how much attention a chick gets if it isn't from the source she's trying to get it from.

Can't really agree with this. Trish got pushed hard, but she did everything she could to legitimately try to earn respect, and she didn't have to practically end up out of the company and attend other promotions seeing women wrestling without looking like stumbling buffoons to do it. Trish started from scratch and became much more than just passable in the ring, and had the crowd in the palm of her hand both as a face and a heel. Vince struck gold with Trish and [unfortunately] she's the reason so many model-to-wrestler [specifically blonde] failures came after her. Trish very well does have her own legacy. The Bellas don't, even though they've had history re-written for them to say otherwise.

I can say that for Brie but watching some trish matches back I would see a lot more botches than Nikki. Nikki did have the much safer style though and Trish did a lot more moves but it doesn't mean Nikki didn't get better. But their careers with the exception of Nikki dating Cena are pretty parallel from the time they got signed.

And I'm saying this as probably the biggest Nikki detractor on this forum

To her, it seemingly has everything to do with it. She knows what she's accomplished. Several fans get it too... but she's not secure in that because there's a certain sub-section of people that won't give her the credit she wants.

Her legacy, in her mind, will never be secure until then. If it were, then it wouldn't matter if she got their approval, IMO.

Though i thought Naomi's heel turn was pretty good (even if she's obviously a natural face), they turned her heel solely cause Nikki needed another heel to face.

Can't dispute that. That's very true. But from the company standpoint I see why they hold her in that regard. I always keep in mind how tone deaf they are with what we want.

The Bellas have always had fans and supporters. Even among smarks, there are those that always rush to their defense. The company trusts and likes them, and they are respected by their peers.

Everything should be gucci, but Nikki is one of those people that needs everyone to like her or it's like no one likes her.
