I don't think Rey will be evil. Luke is the last Jedi. He will teach Rey and Finn to tap into the Force but remember the Jedi prohibited your aptitude for emotion because fear, anger, greed were paths to the dark side. Luke will end the concept of the traditional Jedi by teaching Rey and Finn to embrace emotion.

He went from a genetically engineered assembly line soldier (basically a human droid) to dueling with a trained Sith obssessed with equaling up to his grandfather, one of the most powerful figures in Jedi/Sith history. Was Finn really supposed to beat Kylo Ren in part 1 of 3?

The Last Jedi picks up right where The Force Awakens left off, of course he's still in a coma at the beginning.
