Maaaaaaaaan, thing is sold out every where. I really wanted that away one.

I'm curious as to why Nike created the unique jersey for Nigeria and not one of the other nations they sponsor e.g. Portugal, Poland, France, Brazil etc.

Why Nigeria? :jbhmm:

Why give a relatively unknown designer the free reigns to design Nigeria's world cup kit? :jbhmm:

Got my kit. Not Nigerian, but as a kit collector this is something I'll be able to pass down to my son when he's of age.

Oh and just for the ones that don't know. Here is the guy who created the kit.

NIGERIA WORLD CUP 2018 - Matthew Wolff

NIGERIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION
I was primarily responsible for designing all on-pitch apparel (full home and away kits, pre-match top and training pieces) but would like to give major shoutouts to the entire Nike Global Football team — in particular, the Operation Naija squad: Dan Farron, Rebecca Aleman, and Michael Vorel.

NIGERIA: HOME KIT
[From Official Nike Release] Alex Iwobi put it best: “They’re gonna know Nigeria have arrived.” A tribute to their 1994 debut on the world stage, the 2018 home kit features the traditional green torso, with the Super Eagles-inspired black-and-white sleeves. To modernize the jersey, the feather pattern has been abstracted, and the colors updated, for a bold look on-pitch. Turned into an international phenomenon by artists, Wizkid, Skepta and Not3s, the 2018 Nigeria Home Kit was iconic before it even took the pitch.

NIGERIA: AWAY KIT
[From Official Nike Release] Taken from the first flag of an independent Nigeria, the color green is a long-standing symbol of the nation. While it has typically been used on the home strips, the 2018 season sees the traditional color applied to the away kit. A new badge features a resurrection of the design worn by the gold medal-winning “Dream Team” of 1996, in a single, brighter green for a clean aesthetic.

I got 2 cents to drop, then I'm out.

I'm looking at the Jersey, its Ok at best. But I'm all for reppin so its cool BUT :stop:

Nigeria didn't make the Jersey. And when I look at who they have modeling it I can assure you that nobody in those shots looks like the average Nigerian
This has a Get Out pt.2: We dress them up in Nigerian Nike suits type of vibe to it. The photo's of the white ppl buying em' up reinforces what I sensed.

Let me leave you with this.. if the only way you reppin Nigeria is by purchasing a Jersey from a Euro-asain? Well, I'm not gonna call ya a c00n. But are you trying to emulate those same white folk? Just cuz you black don't make it any different if the shoe fits, does it?

Stay black my nikkaz :mjpls:
