She was probably the only girl I would ever wife.... But her family is Muslim, and they took their culture and religion serious.. They didn't want their daughter to date any AA boys, and I was not AA, but half African and half Caribbean. They didn't like that, and wanted to arrange marriage for their daughter. I didn't like that, and she didn't like it either, but she wanted to respect her families wishes, and I didn't agree with her. I told her I don't want you to choose your family and religion over me...

You're the only person that seems to think I'm not adding anything of value to the BA community, because in my community (Chatham, South Side Chicago) I do plenty. I also contribute to both ends of the spectrum, African and African American seeing that I'm both. I had a good experience in Africa, maybe instead of trying to throw shade on my contribution you should scrape the little money you have and try and visit.
