Again, critical thinking. If they chose someone completely out of the genre of rap then that means they weren't looking for that type of energy anyway so it makes it less egregious. If the entire basis for why Wayne should have the spot is because he’s the most popular/iconic artist from New Orleans, then that doesn’t change regardless of what artist gets picked. We know the real reason why folks are going harder on Kendrick than they would Miley Cyrus, and it’s not because theyre both rappers

Majority of the people in the stadium won't even be from NOLA. This has never been a show to pay homage to the artists from the city they're in.

That LA superbowl show got everyone thinking that now a city must have their own performers in the show. Did yall see Snoop and Dr. Dre representing LA in that Olympics preview concert? There's levels to this. Those guys are trusted to do their part. Wayne meanwhile looks unpredictable. That's just how it is.

Seems like the biggest problem are the fans that elevated Wayne to a level he probably shouldn’t have been at in the first place. They’re the ones that hyped him up to be in the state he is in today.

I haven't commented on this whole thing because it's dumb as fukk and for some reason it's getting so much attention. But here's a few things that's been on my mind from jump since this outrage shyt popped off.

1. Why do people always do this shyt when the SB is in a particular location where a specific performer is from? When the fukk has the SB ever had a half-time show performer that was from that specific city that the game is held in? Edit: Forgot Dre and Snoop

2. Was Wayne even on the list? Then I seen that Jay doesn't even pick the performers, and that the host city does from a certain list

3. Wayne isn't even a good performer like that (no pun intended), Kendrick is a great performer who has the hits to cover half-time.

I'm not even gonna go into the Drake/Kendrick part of it because Kendrick been won but the rest of this outrage is dumb as fukk and way overblown. This stupid shyt is all over the fukking timeline lmfao and I'm a Wayne fan but these are the facts.

For 30 years it was the white men in suits choosing Superbowl acts.

For every black artist there were 3 white acts performing in between.

Now they put Jay Z in charge and in Each of the last 4 years it's Hip hop and RnB acts. Basically standout Black artists.

What do black people do? Fight amongst each other.

It used to take the divide the and conquer method to keep up fighting. Now it seems like they don't even have to try and divide anymore. We just fight on our own.

I bet if they come back and and takeover the decision making, no one will say a word when for 5 straight years it's Bieber, Swift, Eilish, Harry Styles etc. Smh

I love Wayne's music, but his run had people putting him in the same class as Rakim, Pac, Jay, B.I.G., KRS, Cube and Nas. He was never on that level. And what happened with the hype was the narrative started shifting to bro being a GOAT, so his fans became entitled. And Wayne is a good dude, but he's been a junkie for a minute, mad unreliable and unprofessional. Ain't no way he was getting that kind of show in the shape he's in now.
