Sampling and looping is part of the game but too many of these ug guys dont put enough time in their beats and think they rza/jdilla level while never coming close to their impact. I saw this guy say his era put drumless loops on, rza created it but they made it a style. No… sorry. He compared it to g rap / raekwon and mafia rap you are NOT raekwon. Raekwon made cuban linx. He took his title. These guys think they innovate over the rza. The idea that rza and madlib were just loopers or they are in same league is just 
Literally the antithesis to everything ya supposed to do which is innovate off of, not use someone elses blueprint.
Everyone has influences but im not into that “we all influence each other” logic half a cac shyt. Game soakers. All of them. Most are copy machines at best and settle into beat makers who make mediocre music with mediocre rappers to stay afloat or a rep.
