Funny thing is on the national broadcast in canada they're actually defending the player...saying he was leaving "woozy" and may not have known what he was seeing or doing![]()

This is the thing that I probably haven't been able to articulate since I'm multitasking like crazy; most fans of hockey already knows how it goes down, because hockey has set that standard. As regards to punishment and communication of punishment, the NHL has always been pretty fair how they handle business. I get what you are saying about casual fans, but with the NHL, you will hear about dirty plays during the broadcast (for those who look at games) and if/when punishment comes down. I'm probably in the minority this day and age, but I don't need NHL.com plastering the article and trying to make it the main headline when they have a track record of doing the right thing when it comes to things like this. That's one thing I like about the NHL; it's not reactionary. I
Again, I get what you are saying but I ask the question again, what good would a main headline do regarding this issue? Would the article spend more time talking about the hit or 2 sentences saying this is what happened and it will be investigated (which most fans already knows)? That's why I feel it isn't needed; it will be address once investigated and punishment dealt, like all of their issues.
Even the writers saying hes wrong are giving him an excuse to do it... "he was pissed he just got hit hard"
As that justifies mowing down a ref from behind
Hockey writers in Canada are the most spineless invertebrae on this planet....
just went down... is this something you want to expose your kids to? What part of the game is this?
Hockey is a game of savages and thugsObama needs to say something
They can't keep getting away with it![]()

Or.....the refs can protect superstars like they do in the NFL & NBA.
You might need to reread my post; I said nothing about player safety breh. I said that when it comes to punishment, NHL usually handles that...Are you serious breh? The vast majority of NHL fans consider the league and player safety to be an inconsistent joke. cc: @Reinscarf
:dead @ trying to act like the NHL is a model league in North American sports.
He only got 20 games?
Good job, NHL![]()
