Problem is he fit the looks the part mold and was declared generational when if you watched him at Clemson, he was good, but not exceptional.

He's a solid QB, but not what he was supposed to be. He's getting a pass.

Dunno what they are gonna do when it's extension time. Because the league has let QB contracts get completely out of control, do you severely overpay just because due to what's been happening with these contracts lately?

Good luck Jags GM.
What other options could they possibly have? Like y'all see how bad the drop off is at QB once you get past like the top 12-15. If you're not resigning Lawrence you're tanking to draft a QB. There are no other options for the Jags except to extend him and pray to god your GM is savy enough to maneuver and build around him. I know the Dolphins have already taken steps to lock in the most important players on the roster in anticipation of Tua's extension.

One thing the Dolphins have going for them that makes it easier is the Phins know Reek is gone in 2 years because he's already said this is his last contract and he's retiring. So they can work around his 46M base in 2026 in preparation to have that money free. You really don't have any options in the NFL right now at QB because the talent depth is just non existent due to all the old big guns retiring over the past few years.

ALL NFC fans should be happy as hell that McCarthy doesn't realize Pollard should be the focus of the Cowboy offense not Dak.
:heh: If Pollard was worth of being the focus of their offense he would be. The ball in Dak's hands gives them the best chance of winning.

Pollard obviously got overrated because Zeke was washed last year so of course Pollard looked better compared to him in a secondary role which is really Pollard's ceiling as far as I can tell. That man is averaging 4.1 YPC, fukk you wanna make that the centerpiece of your offense for?

Tony Pollard is 7th in the league in attempts. How much more featured would you like a running back with that YPC to be?
