The NIL collective isn't the only thing that changed. They were gifted an easy schedule where they only had to play one of the four big ten teams that finished ranked.
Didn't have to play in conference championship.
No tough ooc opponents.
I'll ask again, if they are good now why are their odds so terrible. No one takes IU seriously and they're on pace to crash out next year when conference schedules rotate.
You're not telling me anything, man.
There's a gripe amongst several SEC fanbases about Texas schedule this yr and how they avoided all of the traditional SEC powers, meanwhile Florida played them and every other SEC power. It's supposed to be "randomly chosen", but I'm not buying that. OU had a stretch of 4-5 straight games against a murderers row. Even if we were fully healthy, full strength this year, we still probably lose 3 games.
In the Big 10, this has been an issue for yrs since they added Nebraska, Rutgers etc. It allows for certain teams, occasionally like Iowa or Michigan St, to have a cake walk to the conf title game bc they avoid Penn St, Ohio Sr etc
Now with the SEC being overcrowded, they better be more mindful of the schedules they are creating if they want representation in the playoff.
