So this turn into a Peyton bashing thread, ehh?

Fukk it, Let me joined in.

Brees should have won 2009, no one though the Saints was gonna be good. That ass whipping against the Pats should have solidified his case.

This too.

Like I said, they were stuffing his MVP trophy case up for no fukking reason. nikkas in awe over a couple audibles at the line and give him MVP's for it. Disgusting

Indy's run offense was 31st in 08 and last in 09. They had an average at best o-line filled with rookies, journeymen and Jeff Saturday because Diem fell off. An average at best defense that couldn't even feast on cupcakes (go look at those 08 and 09 schedules. They were also in the bottom third of the league in both average time of possession and average starting field position. Plus their special teams were average at best.

You take all of that an add a new incompetent head coach in 09 plus a first year starter in the slot as well as the other side of Wayne and you guys somehow set in your minds that he didn't deserve those MVPs?

the year favre and barry sanders got co-mvp.

imo, sanders clearly had the better year, relative to their position (obviously because they are in different positions) and or regardless of the position - he was simply the best NFL player that year.

i also agree with the poster before me that said brady and moss should have shared the mvp - simple reason is brady wouldn't have come close to what he achieved without Moss that year. we all saw what the individual numbers were like without moss until he arrived and it was not a coincidence.

Faulk's 99 season definitely should be on this list. The man was the engine that made them Rams squads go. Cause after Warner got replaced by Bulger they were still putting up numbers. But when Faulk lost a step that was the beginning of the end for the greatest show on turf.
