Yea man you're right. NFL hasn't done much in Europe. And you have viking dudes there perfect for the game and still nothing. NBA I hope gets more popular down in south america
The problem with the NFL in Europe is the sport requires a field roughly the same size as Soccer pitches and most importantly, a lot of soccer matches are played on Sundays. The real issue for why nobody plays is the cost of equipment, sports like soccer and basketball are easy cause you don't really need anything other than the ball to work on the bare basics of your skills, obviously you need the hoop/goal for shooting, if you have the goal/hoop you can just play by yourself too.
Basketball is about to explode in Brazil, it's the third most popular sport there, after the Olympics give it a few years and you'll see a major influx of Brazilian basketball players, it's already starting to trickle (Bruno last year, George Lucas this year). Even India is riding the wave, fastest growing sport there behind soccer is basketball, the sports are like cousins.
