:russ: Dominate. FOH. Panthers went 5-11 and lost the last 8 Consecutive games.

They were padding his stats 2nd Half of the season. Force feeding this cac the ball them stats empty as hell.
No lies were told breh. Cac was out there down 30 trying to get numbers for his contract.

He wasn’t stat padding he’s a great player the problem is his position has little impact on a game.

rb’s don’t win you games. Having a star rb on your team that you have to make a focal
Point of your offense is a detriment

O'Brien heard Hopkins was going to be looking for a new deal and traded him.

Another example:

Four players all at the top of their positions, likely first ballot Hall of Famers, no off field issues, great locker room guys, yet they didn't get paid early or got traded because the team didn't want to pay them:mjpls:

That was 2013. The Cowboys' record the previous three years:
8-8
8-8
6-10
0 playoff appearances

Dak got asked to take a hometown discount :mjpls:

None of those situations are remotely the same. I don't care if McCaffrey got an extension or not, but not a single one of your examples are even similar:

-Mack was on the final year of his deal on a team going nowhere, and was looking to be the highest paid defensive player in the NFL. He has a cap of around $25mil/year, almost 60% higher than the cap hit of a younger McCaffrey that was the focal point of an offense with no QB last season.

-Donald, like Mack, was looking to become the highest paid defensive player in the NFL. The Rams had already given Todd Gurley a $60 mil contact with a cap hit around $15 mil and KNEW they would have to pay Goff (who plays a far more important position) top tier money.

-Thomas had one more year on his contract and didn't hold out. I'm not sure why (besides dap fishing) you would include him here as his was a normal contact situation.

-O'Brien made a horrible trade, but Hopkins had gotten a recent contact extension.

None of those situations are similar to the McCaffrey situation where he is the focal point on offense with no one else around him.

Agreed.

In today's NFL, an HB's impact has been downsized, but that actually seems to be changing over the past few seasons.

People throw the term "stat padding" around too much when it doesn't apply.

Christian McCaffrey 2019 Game Log | Pro-Football-Reference.com

:mjpls: Proof in the pudding dawg. Panthers made a very conscious decision to get him that 1000yds +1000 rec season over being competitive.

When Week 9 was completed he had 185 carries 989 rushing yds + 48 catches 396 yds.

What happens next is pitiful...They scaled the rushing all the down and doubled his recieving targets. Chasing stats

The next 7 games these are his stats. And they LOST all these games too.

102 carries 392 rushing yds + 83 targets 68 rec 609 rec yds.

He had more targets than carries in 4 of the last 7 games. Double digits targets in last 6 of 7 games. Only had 2 the first 9. :mjlol:

Congrats Panthers. You got your cac to be the face of the franchise. This shyt ao obvious.

Why do people say this? Being able to catch, run, pass block chew up time, keep your defense fresh isn't valuable? Listen the Chiefs won the superbowl but if they still had Kareem hunt, they would be a dynasty. Passing the ball 50-60 times is a recipe for disaster.

Finally somebody said it.

On top of all that, you can look back though college football threads where nikkas was cac this cac that, and I was saying fukk what yall talking bout DUDE IS A BEAST. You mean to tell me out of all the nikkas that ever toted that tater in NFL history this white dude is the highest paid rb ever, yeah I know we are talking about spans and decades. BUT you telling me he's more valuable to his team than Derrick Henry?
