Cause the NBA draft is pretty much irellevant past the first 5 picks or so...hell sometimes past the 1st pick. NFL is a lot more deeper position wise so the whole first round and even second round can be full of decent players.

It's because you can find gems all throughout the NFL draft...

Seems like most NBA 2nd rounders end up being D-league material

clearly majority of ppl who feel this way are NFL homers that arent big on the NBA in the first place. for starters, there is more than 3 times the roster size on an NFL team than an NBA team so of course your gonna find more positions. and due to the vast more positions, it has 4 more rounds of all those extra positions to fill than the NBA. so stating what you wrote is basically pointless if all your looking for is "deeper position players." for every nba draftee that doesnt amount to anything, there are at least 10x more from the NFL draft that dont either. with 4 whole rounds more thats just obvious though, im not gonna knock the NFL draft for it. but just be more objective at least.

personally, NBA >>>>> NFL, draft and all, but i watch both drafts bc i love this part of both sports

I don't think I've sat through the NFL draft since they changed it from being on the weekend which was perfect. Now they stretched it to the point where it's like :pacspit: NBA Draft is cool even though as you get near the end of the round and the second there's nothing really there except for certain cases.

Because the NBA is more of an individual sport, and one player can make a bigger difference than one player (other than QB) in the NFL, I find their draft more interesting.

...whoa, what? Maybe past the first round...but not past the first five picks.

Roy Hibbert- 2008 Draft, Selected 17th

Marc Gasol - 2007 Draft, Selected 48th

Rajon Rondo - 2006 Draft, Selected 21st

I could go on. Danny Granger, Andrew Bynum, etc.

But in general, you're kind of right. A TON of first round picks in the NBA draft go on to have extremely unspectacular careers and it's even worse in the 2nd.

Point still stands though -- the entire first round is worth watching at least midway. It's definitely not the first 5.
