Cause the NBA draft is pretty much irellevant past the first 5 picks or so...hell sometimes past the 1st pick. NFL is a lot more deeper position wise so the whole first round and even second round can be full of decent players.
...whoa, what? Maybe past the first
round...but not past the first five picks.
Roy Hibbert- 2008 Draft, Selected 17th
Marc Gasol - 2007 Draft, Selected 48th
Rajon Rondo - 2006 Draft, Selected 21st
I could go on. Danny Granger, Andrew Bynum, etc.
But in general, you're kind of right. A TON of first round picks in the NBA draft go on to have extremely unspectacular careers and it's even worse in the 2nd.
Point still stands though -- the entire first round is worth watching at least midway. It's definitely not the first 5.
