I think if he gets it to 4 that should be enough to drop it all.
If they reduce it, Roger gonna look like a clown.
This whole bountgat bullshyt was dumb as hell to begin with. If they reviewed the tapes and saw that nobody was maliciously harmed in this whole thing it should have been dropped (and no Brett Favre getting beat up doesnt count).I could see a couple games here and there but entire seasons? and indefinite?
Never take the first offer. Vilma should insist on playing all games and proceeding with the lawsuit. No concessions if Vilma's name was defamed. Scorch the earth; continue to discovery and litigation. >:TVilma should hold out for no more than four games. Really shouldn't get any, but no point shooting yourself in the foot for some pyrrhic victory...
August 6, 2012NFL senior VP of communications Greg Aiello: "Today's report about a settlement offer by the league to Jonathan Vilma is completely inaccurate. No such settlement offer has been made. We will continue to respect the court proceedings on this matter and have no further comment at this time."

Vilma better ride this lawsuit out then, 9/10 when someone offers to settle first, they know they're going to have a tough time proving their case. NFL lookin' scared here.

No point accepting punishment for an offense if Vilma did not commit it.
Well the point would be to actually see the field. There's no way in hell they'll agree to fold to the point where he gets no punishment.
If he wants to stand on principle, he best be prepared for a LONG bitter fight.
