This whole bountgat bullshyt was dumb as hell to begin with. If they reviewed the tapes and saw that nobody was maliciously harmed in this whole thing it should have been dropped (and no Brett Favre getting beat up doesnt count).I could see a couple games here and there but entire seasons? and indefinite?

Vilma should hold out for no more than four games. Really shouldn't get any, but no point shooting yourself in the foot for some pyrrhic victory.

No point accepting punishment for an offense if Vilma did not commit it.
It's pretty obvious that the NFL knows that this shyt won't stand up and in court and is just trying to save face. It's basically the equivalent of having an a$$hole supervisor who tries to discipline you for some BS and you go over his head and he tries to play it off. I love this shyt. Vilma would immediately become my favorite active athlete if his says
to Goodell and goes through with his civil suit. I hope this shyt sets a precedent and Goodells reign of capricious, subjective judgment comes to an end.

Well the point would be to actually see the field. There's no way in hell they'll agree to fold to the point where he gets no punishment.
If he wants to stand on principle, he best be prepared for a LONG bitter fight.
He would be seeing the field throughout the fight though. If the case goes to trial the suspension would be lifted until the case was over and it was PROVEN to be warranted.
