This is one of the reasons why I said I'll be sticking with handheld systems for some time before jumping into next gen consoles.

The gaming industry acts like they are trying to do themselves in.

nickel-and-dime on disc DLC
Online Pass
Always On requirement

dlc is the worse thing to happen to console gaming. day one patches, selling games in pieces, pre-order bonuses from different retailers, season passes, micro-transactions in its entirety dlc is anti-consumer. its just a way to nickle and dime gamers and extract more from them.

I got to the point where I just wait for the Game of the Year edition with everything unlocked for roughly half the original price

Yeah I hear you. I've been gaming for a long time too. And I've gotten used to the way things are supposed to work just like you

But after seeing that watch dogs demo, I don't care what they tell me I gotta do to play it, I need that it my life :noah:

That's the problem. The publishers are counting on people wanting the games so bad that they will put up with any anti-consumer bullshyt to play them. The ONLY thing that these companies talk is money so the only way to fight this is to not buy the games unless they are fixed.

It's easy to say that. But it looks like most if not all games will have some type of online requirment. We'd have to stop gaming altogether.

I want to stand against this travesty as much as the next man, but when these new games come out with their shiny next gen graphics its gonna be real hard not to buy them.

Nah, i doubt it. The gaming community is going to make life inconvenient for these companies. Once one domino falls, the rest rall in line.

Some bullshyt man :birdman:

I like to play games and I don't play online, I love playing single player.

Seems like the days of just popping in the CD and playing will be a thing of the past in the next gen :to:

PC Gaming.. installing the game is :beli: as it doesn't always work, you gotta tweak shyt just to get the game to work.

It seems like both of these systems will end up being the same feature wise
