This seems like they’re fishing for someone to rat

NBA can only blame themselves. Every other commercial is promoting gambling, and specifically parlay betting. They have gambling partnerships.

I wouldn’t put it past ownership being a part of these parlay plays. They manipulate guys minutes when they’re trying to trade players or intentionally tank for draft picks, so why wouldn’t they do it to line pockets?
They already have rats. No need to fish

Should have had a fall guy like Ohtani.

That’s the story MLB came up with to protect their star from Japan. People still think Michael Jordan quit basketball in the middle of his prime to be a trash baseball player in the double As play a 127 games with .202 batting average in Birmingham, Alabama. In the Netflix documentary Tim Donaghy said David Stern and The NBA got federal agents on call to make stuff go away.

No he told people he was only playing one quarter, to fulfill his games played incentive. Didn’t play rest of the season after
Which is what people bet on. We are saying the same thing.

I've been trying to tell people that players and the like having gambling sponsors and the league making partnership and fraternizing with those companies and such is a conflict of interest. It's so simple, these companies need people to perpetually lose money on their gambles to make money, the money the customer loses is used to pay for those sponsorships, so the league and the player technically, directly benefit from the gambling in general, thus pretty much meaning the integrity of the league is fractured indefinitely because now we don't know at any time or moment who is being influenced by all these bets. Like Fan Duel is freaking broadcasting games, there is no way rigging is not going on.
