In this case it is literally a bill that violates the first amendment all in favor of a foreign government. We are violating American supreme law to appease a foreign state. And the worst part of it is the man who proposed this bill advocates strict allegiance to this foreign state and his ethnicity while shytting on the concept of freedom of speech.

Crazy how the Constitution gets abandoned when things don't go a certain way.

First amendment rights don't apply to discrimination based on national origin. If you put an ad out

Apartment for rent. Will not accept anyone from China.

That is against the law in most states.

Apparently you do, if you want the government to fund hypocritical and boycotts selected to target people who were simply born in selected countries. :what:

Nice try at a Red Herring though :childplease:

In this country, the US government is not supposed to dictate proper speech and interfere with political protest. In this mockery of a bill, there is an ironic paragraph stating just that. What Klein and the other Israeli lawmakers did was try to tweak that by saying Israel was exempt.

That's unconstitutional.

It is not supposed to allow discrimination either.

Nothing in the bill makes it illegal to protest against Israel in a non-discriminatory way. :shaq:

If you read the ASA's resolution sweetheart, it was clearly only calling for a boycott of Israeli academic institutions and has explicit language not to boycott individual Israelis working in conjuction with American counterparts.

They are being censored and defunded for advocating boycotts on institutions, not individuals.

Nice try with the victimization angle. You guys got that down to a science.

Don't boycott Israelis.... Just Israelis who got their education and work at the institutions in which they can study/work in their native language :dead:

If some student group calls to boycott a Chinese company due to labor practices, is it discrimination? What about Jewish student groups who call on boycotts to those vocal against Israel?

Seems like your biased view has tainted your perception of the law. I expect that from you but not from a political who is supposed to be American, but cares more about Israel.

That's exactly right. There is no discrimination based on their ethnicity or religion. Institutions are fair game. See above.

It is both discrimination and racist unless they boycott all countries with similar labor practices.

What about Jewish student groups who call on boycotts to those vocal against Israel?

That is not based on ethnicity, race, or national origin. But sure, you can say it is discrimination.
