This is because its mostly rural area states and its hot not because of filth or poor sanitation like New York.

The humidity, heat and forest/swamp land are hot beds for most insects.

I think I saw somewhere where we had more rats here in Chicago than new York but NY stay holdin the L for this

Every time I go out to the alley to take out the garbage theres a big ass rat or two just eatin and chillin around my trifilin ass neighbors dumpster lookin at me like "you good G " they don't budge or shyt so I just be like pardon me and go on about my business.

I don't go out back without thumper on me now...
