Adding rail lines and stations is crazy expensive. Agreed that there are places that need service....remember though that 500k people have no rail transit connection to the city....aka Staten Island, outside of a ferry and some buses.

Besides building a light rail line in gentrified Brooklyn and Queens is more important ...:sas2: :troll: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/16/n...eetcar-line-can-learn-in-new-jersey.html?_r=0

those digital ads better not have fukkin audio capability and i really pray they dont let companies/corporations sponsor stops. having entire stops be a massive fukkin ad. city of ads, cops and cameras...great

2020 is only 4 years away. 2050 is more realistic with how the mta moves. :russ:

gangway cars are gonna be sick though, theres a possibility they'll have gangway cars for the 2nd ave line

instead of giving people wifi and digital ads, they should use some of this money to extend lines or build new ones so the massive amount of people cut off from the subway in a lot of areas of queens and the bronx can get service. its fukkin ridiculous. we dont need wifi,,,we need more trains and less overcrowding. in the last 10 years the trains have gotten so crowded its insane. the system cant handle the amount of people. plus you got neighborhoods completely cut off from mta. look at rochdale village...about 8000 people live there and im sure half of them commute to the city..no train there. mta should figure out how to handle the current problems before they add some fancy maps, ads and usb ports and pretend like its all good

Rochdale has the q85 which connects you directly to the j and e as well as the locust manor LIRR station that gets you to penn in 30 mins.

its not cut off like that.

they been on the late show. you go anywhere else around the world and you see mass transit systems taken care of properly. i can't lie though, i love the grit of the MTA subway system. it's what i grew up on so any idea of mass transit and subways i have in my head stem from that. but after traveling to different places and spaces, i can definitely say they've been behind for many many years and all they have to show for it is transit strikes and fare hikes
