New York City Subway Stations Need More Police Presence

Doesn't MTA have their own police? This doesn't get brought up enough...

The MTA police patrol LIRR and Metro North mainly, not the NYC Subway.


NYPD has its own transit division that patrols the subway, some stations even have precincts inside of them, like Broadway Junction and Union Square stops for example.

You just reminded me of the perp walk they made me take out of there on the way to the Bookings for a bullshyt beer summons back in the early 2000s Hochul don't have the National Guard down there anymore?

I moved out of NYC last month but rode the subway regularly up until I left. They was still there at subway entrances checking ppl bags at random.


In addition to NYPD and National Guard, they have regular ass security guards down there too
