Not everything was 'official' back then

Me & a lot of people were rocking knock-offs mixed in with the real. Designers were expensive and you were a target to get mugged by stick up kids. Had to fight and possibly die for your shyt (even fake stuff). A blade in the back pocket was a must. Only thing unforgivable was fake kicks, lol

If it had an Italian name, it was wanted. Member's Only jackets (black pleather knockoffs too), Leather bombers, Cazal (gazelles), shoes from Buster Brown, pinstripe lees (don't get your back logo snatched), sky blue levis, etc

Nike wasn't the top sneaker (crazy right?) You wore Reebok classics, Filas (went out of style twice), Adidas, Converse or other off brands

The best thing was, there was no such thing as 'hip hop' clothing. We made our own styles. It was nothing to cut old jeans into shorts or make short-sleeves by cutting your shirts if you were going out to get dirty during the summer

Bicycle caps, snapback truckers, fanny pack, stop watch around the neck, shades with the neon frame

The 90s cut down on that knockoff stuff. People were getting caught for wearing fake Champion tees. (sleeve logo not stitched)

Ok, let me stop :flabbynsick:
