Joe Biden was trash and enabled this. Don’t really see how either side of the Democratic Party could be doing victory laps as if either got anything out of the last 16 months. Just an embarrassing failure all the way around.

We knew he'd be worse. The idea was for Biden to stop the Israelis before it got this bad. He didn't.

No one will take the Palestinians and he will not jeopardize valuable assets and partners around Israel for them.

Lets see what happens.
We? You were pushing the misleading notion that Trump was hostile to Netanyahu and that it could lead to different outcomes.

Hamas has agreed to them before. It was Netanyahu who always delayed or rejected each ceasefire.

He's on thin ice with Trump, so lets see how it plays out. Trump wants to get this as a W before he's in office, but Netanyahu needs this genocide to keep going to stay in power.

Trump has not liked Netanyahu since Netanyahu bushed him for J6 and assumed he'd be in prison by now.

They don't fukk with each other like they did in 2016

What Biden got to do with Trump building hotels in Gaza
Under Biden, the U.S. provided unconditional military support to Israel, approving billions in weapons sales and vetoing UN ceasefire resolutions, despite clear evidence of civilian harm and famine conditions. This enabled Israel’s devastating campaign, which displaced 80% of Gaza’s population and killed tens of thousands. While Biden’s administration eventually brokered a ceasefire in collaboration with Trump’s team, this felt more like a last-ditch effort to salvage his legacy than a genuine commitment to justice.

Now, under Trump, the situation has shifted but remains deeply problematic. Trump’s focus on relocating Palestinians rather than rebuilding Gaza risks perpetuating displacement and suffering. His transactional approach—prioritizing Israeli loyalty over Palestinian rights—threatens to reignite violence and further destabilize the region. Both administrations, in my view, have prioritized geopolitical alliances over human rights, leaving Gaza’s population trapped in a cycle of destruction and neglect. The U.S. bears significant responsibility for this crisis, and until there’s a real shift in policy, which voters sought out during the election season, I believe we’ll continue to see the same patterns of harm and complicity.
