I don't get why they didn't wait for the software. It would have been nice to debut both. Must mean the software is a few months off at least.

At this price point this is more for professionals. The mk3 and mikro are for regular folks. It would be nice if they made a portable unit to compete with the 404. That's a market no one ever tries to tap into. Price it at 250 and it'll sell.

Not really you can do the same thing on all three units. The standalone is good for the producer that does not want to power on a computer. Or maybe use it for live performances. But the music will be the same.

If you watch the Maschine + video and watch it closely it had a lot of the DAW features that they will debut later this year . Like it's able to time stretch but not like the MPC but your able to do it. The clips feature is coming as well if your familiar with Ableton . The software will be the highlight.

I have a SP-303 that I plan to pair with my live 2 . Which will be my dawless set up. Somebody will tap into that market thoe . I was hoping madlib would petition for roland to redo the SP-303 since that's like a piece that is claim to fame for him ...like the nikkas did all of Madvillian on it :whew:

I heard he is on the iPad now thoe with MPC app :wow:

I don't mean what it can do but the price. $1400 isn't really for the bedroom producer. A lot of people are still using second generation Machines. They can upgrade to a 3 for 650.

Roland will price it at $400 which is why someone needs to step in and undercut them. Put a small screen on there to slice samples and you can take over that market.

why doesn't anyone show a demo of controller mode to see how smooth the process is for starting a project on stand-alone and finishing it on controller mode?

Accurate beats in his vid basically said the same thing. If you already own a MK3 there is no need to buy the +.
interesting. i mean i guess if the only difference is turning off the computer thats a good point. its not like you can move around with it like the live
