I've done all except Caribanna and for me Essence trumps all those events, It's a different wave of women and scenery.


I'd say if you're in your late 20s early (hell I had a ball in my early 20s) 30s or 40s or older, Essence is a good look than those other events.

Not putting those other events down, but Essence, it's tops them, especially if you're going to the concerts every night. The lineups have been a bit shytty lately but when the lineups for the concerts were on point EVERY NIGHT Essence was that event, nothing like seeing your black brothers and sisters in ALL WHITE coming to see Frankie Beverly, the whole concert, everybody doing the bus stop and shyt..just having a good time, You're start Friday noon getting lit and by that Saturday night or Sunday morning you'd be done, not knowing that you still have Sunday night to finish off.
So for me I'd take Essence and I've been to all those events with the exception of the Caribanna, all were fun but Essence is the one for me.
