One of my homies who hangs out with a few of these rappers told me Abillyon has poor work ethic which is why even though his music is hot his name isn’t known on a bigger scale.

Wonder how true that is.

Unfortunate events at the beginning of his career that set him back. He was locked when Gs9 first got on. He turned down a deal with Drake to sign with the same label as Gs9 then got put on freeze couple months later when they got locked up. Got into it with Bobby when he got locked up which also caused people to not support him. I thinks they're cool now tho.

It’s really bad out here in BK. I’m really starting to wonder if these dudes being from the Caribbean has a correlation to this.

:yeshrug:
that would make no sense cause caribbean music is od rich with creativity & melody.........they stuck on generic repetitive dry ass drill bs even artist from the chi ain't on that wave no more like that*

True but I’m speaking more about the ones raised or born here.

Would like to see West Indian/hip hop mixes come back heavy like back in the day.

Right!

I notice Chicago has started to leave that crap alone. Makes sense tho because most of their rappers were really getting murked over music.

In reality drill music to me is a failure and if I hear someone adopting to it i immediately assume that they do not take music or their future career in music seriously.

69 was the only rapper out Brooklyn that was able to package drill elements and make it mainstream
