Plus you got vets like Sean Price (Heltah Skeltah fame) having a strong underground following. And on the major level, Nas is back on his dean!

Wasn't Roc part of Flipmode Squad?.... Could have sworn I've heard him on a Busta release

you did, The Heist which had Rae & Ghost on a Large Pro beat. pretty epic shyt, he also was on a track with Busta and Rae called 'Lets Make a Toast' which was for Easy Mo Bee's 'Now or Never' album

its wasnt anything foul, Flipmode didnt have a 2nd album in them, group fell apart so did Roc's development deal with Busta. he formed The U.N., then put out one solo tape took a few years off then dropped Marcberg

Like it or not, French and Coke Boyz got the streets on lock. These joints are making noise out here.

The new ny mcs are nice, but NY underground vets need support too. J-live, Wordsworth, Killah Priest, AKIR keep dropping heat.

Honestly though, my favorite rapper out of New York these days has got to be Smoke DZA. You can say he doesn't sound like the other guys or he doesn't fit in or whatever, but this guy is really going his thing. George Kush The Button was a great album. The Hustlers Catalog was DOPE. SweetBabyKushedGod was dope. Rugby Thompson sounds insane. I feel like this dude has been one of the most consistent sources of dope music outta New York for awhile now and he doesn't seem to get any credit for it.
