foreal, that lil scene took some shots at ol' jimmy.

"I dont know anything about hip-hop"

:camby:

well it ain't like that part ain't spot on:mjpls:

here's an excerpt from a interview gq magazine did with jimmy iovine

gq magazine: How did you meet Dre?

jimmy iovine: Him and Suge [Knight, then CEO of Death Row Records] came in, and they brought The Chronic. I'd just come out of Rattle and Hum with U2. I knew hip-hop was going around, but I had no idea what it was. And then Dre walked in, and I said, "I don't know hip-hop, but I know my speakers. Who engineered it?" Dre said, "I did." When they told me the story of how they made the record, you might as well make a record falling out of a building. They were sneaking into studios; the government was after them; there were lawsuits, one RICO case, all on a bunch of guys who had no money and were making an album. I said, "Wow. If you can do it under those circumstances, let's go."

look i get they need to make this entertaining for the sake of a movie

im just old enough to know better

these dudes were not movin like some "gangsters"

CB4 chris rock has flat out stated is based on the "studio gangsters" NWA were lol

they can attempt to re write history

but i lived through it

i know whats real

how are they portraying gangsters? only person in the movie trailers looking gangsta are eazy and suge. dre portrayed as a dj/producer tryna get on, cube as a teenager student having run in with racist cops. seems accurate to me. and eazy the ex hustler.

Damn,. still no respect for MC Ren?.....I wonder how MC Ren feels?.... or he probably don't care.

it's a trailer aimed at getting kids/peoples attention. kids don't know MC Ren, they know Dre & Cube & probably Eazy because of songs like Gimmie That Nutt. kids these days don't know about www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0wH5fBg1BI or or

he seems like a pretty private dude anyway and he was involved in the filming and writing so i don't see him complaining.

NWA were not Gangsta rappers. ....they rapped about hood shyt and growing up in the 70s and 80s ......no glorification of that was going on (ppl even went to jail as a consequence in those songs) they just reported it and ppl loved it and it caught fire but they be came CB4 status on Efil4zaggin

dude might be a cac, cause one of the characteristics of cacs is being unable to differentiate between black people:stopitslime:. he saw eazy saying “where the money at” , he saw guns, and thought that represented everybody in the group and film.. not knowing that every person in NWA wasnt a gangsta.:mjlol: shyt, thats pretty well know universally, except by clueless cacs.
