I think Premier League or MLB gon do it first.
MLB is downsizing now

However, I think one of the oil clubs in soccer will do it

messi used to make 100 million a year

Mbappe was offered a 2 year contract worth 50 million a year with a 200 million signing bonus

There was a sense that ESPN paid too much for the last contract

They are not going to triple it
Alot of traditional network television has been abandoned now in favor of streaming shows and movies that are free of commercials. The easiest way for networks to get money these days is by selling ad space through live sports. That's one reason why these asking prices have shot up for the sports leagues. Live sports sells thirty second ad spots

Lol, i understand negotiations but 75 bil for a marginal product when you can take that money and get better rating with college football or bidding on the nfl. Lol
College football will never command that kind of money because an entire section of the country really doesn't care much for it (the Northeast)

This money will come from the fans.

I love sports as a game. I hate it as a business. It feels unsustainable.
