So it’s gonna be ABC/ESPN, NBC/Peacock, and TNT? I’m good with that.
Having the opportunity to match doesn’t mean the NBA has to accept your bid and they sure as fukk won’t. WB was always going to “try” to match. The question was whether the NBA would accept it and what their legal basis would be for not doing it. This bid just proves them right.

Amazon - having the bread versus WB taking out a line of credit

Amazon Prime - global, available in more countries and at least 100 million more homes.

I don’t know if they’re just saving face or if they are foolish enough to go to court which hasn’t happened over media rights since CBS and the NBA decades ago, but this doesn’t really change anything. Every move has gone according to expectations.

Nah... they are getting something out of it. Our resident coli lawyers just said the other day that WBD would back down off the "poison pill" in the contract. Clearly, that's not the case... That's after our coli lawyers said for weeks that TNT didn't "have matching rights" because ESPN's former head said they didn't :mjlol:

Yeah after reading further, they did this to act like they gave an effort, make the NBA look like the “bad guys” for rejecting TNT, and then get some settlement money to walk away.
