How is machine and why do a lot of producers switch over to it from the MPC side of the game ? I keep hearing about the work flow :patrice:
The work flow is dope because it seamlessly allows you to work with the hardware and software side of everything.
Flipping between drums, bass, instruments and samples. Opens vsts and other plug in’s for more sounds and functions is great.
Plus when you are done you can open it as a plug-in in to another daw ( I use ableton) for more functionality, like recording vocals, scratches, samples and other cool shyt.

Honestly it just completely changed everything for me cuz it made everything blend so easily together.
Makes everything easier and more fun tbh

See I just got MOC studio and I kinda wish I got masculine it does look like a better flow but I would combine it with FL studio which I Justin upgraded yesterday. I got the studio cause I don’t want to do drum with a mouse :scust: I knew it came with MPC 2.0 for some reason I like but the learn curve is a lil hard but I wanna learn this shyt like the back of my hand before I start making the music . I want to feel the drums. I like the studio but I feel like I would like the machine better. I might have to buy it for Xmas or wait till 2020(?) for the next one.

Yea the mk3 just came out last year I think so I’d imagine it won’t be a few years before another one.
I still have the mk2 and haven’t had any issues with it.
Maybe try to get a second hand mk2 for low just to get in to it.
Learn it. And get used to that type of workflow. You won’t even need FL anymore.
Machine and a keyboard and you are good to go.

If you like the MPC studio maybe you should consider getting an MPC LIVE. The Maschine can't be used standalone wheras the MPC can + the MPC studio is basically a DAW in itself that Akai actually updates frequently unlike NI with Maschine

Akai out here frequently giving users their requested updates. Meanwhile Native Instruments won't update Maschine with any functionality.

Just need cross fade loop GUI fixed, disc streaming, and that new synth from the force.

To me it depends on the user. For me I 34 so my mentality is a lot like j dilla madlib Etc you don’t always need something new or to even upgrade. J dilla was know to work with a few Pieces of equipment same for madlib and even the Alchemist. I’m say since I’m just getting back into it I may not need the upgrade to Machine software just yet. I don’t my musics to even sound computerized. It anit about being a gear head it’s about the man or women behind the machine.

I understand that. I was just saying Akai as a company seems more focused on giving the users the functionality they requested in a timely manner. Wheras native instruments is out here tryna sell micro transitions with maschine and ignoring their user base :scusthov:
