Never liked bf3 and bf4 and I never understood why they were so liked. I played bc2 instead until they nuked the servers lol

BF3 and BF4 felt like combined arms warfare. Bad Company series felt more like an infantry focused game.

IIRC, Bad Company series didn’t support 32v32. The mainline series touches base with a lot of older PC players who were brought up on those big ass maps in Planetside and Tribes.

For me it comes down to gameplay. BC2 was 12v12 but had more intense battles than any battlefield imo. shyt was crazy dope. The sound was insane, the presentation and even the kill cam was just dope af. I was mad excited for BF3 but when it dropped i was like wtf? Maps were wack, character design was weak, the gameplay wasn't there. Idk man i just didn't get into it. I bought 4 because I felt it would improve but was more of the same.

It’s the opposite for me. Bad Company had a lot of good things but it felt too funneled. Rush Mode lacked the open play space feel. I loved locking down a flag as Engineer and holding the line. Support felt like an actual class instead assault with a bigger gun and ammo, you could actually suppress and help your team.

Idk the team work in BC2 was off the chain. Rush was the best mode for that game because the maps were designed specifically that the battles would get intense and atrategic. That game just had something so different then what came out after and even dice said they don't know what they did that made BC2 as fun it was. Sucks because they won't be able to replicate that gameplay.

I didn’t and still don’t care for BC. No prone or chutes and was essentially a small scale battlefield. IMO felt more like a COD campaign wise.
