No doubt. After the smash hit that's been the Last of Us I have no doubt some studio will want to finally adapt Mass Effect (I know they've tried before, just like TLOU before HBO). But unless they get a great writer, there's no way in hell they'll be able to pull it off.

WB should immediately hire Tony Gilroy to write and map out a new Lord of The Rings Trilogy. We saw what awesome work he did with Andor/Star Wars. Imagine what Gilroy could do with Middle Earth?

What gets me is that there are so many recentish fantasy works that could print money if they get a real and talented team behind it. Like Mistborn is sitting there just waiting for someone to adapt and have the next goddamn Hunger Games level hit. The First Law trilogy? Glotka would immediately be half of America’s favorite tv character if done right. Kingkiller Chronicle? Could be great tv if they handle Kvothe being an unreliable narrator correctly. fukking Stormlight Archive? The Powder Mage trilogy? These are just off the top of my head.
