This shyt actually iight :yeshrug:

Much less generic than Believe Me, beat is a banger, and even though I think Weezy & Drake both some fakkits, they have a proven, successful (pop) method of doing things so you can't really fault them for taking their formula and running it into the ground until it dont work anymore and it's time to reinvent.

I'm having conflicting feelings about Wayne. Seems like his progression from wobbly wobbly, to punchline Wayne circa 2006, to melodic Wayne circa 2008, to weirdo Wayne (now) coincides with his ghostwriters / young talent he's developing or working with behind the scenes, before they pop or get noticed. From Gillie, to Drake, to Young Thug, he's reinvented himself with the same frequency as Jay, but it's completely obvious that these guys are providing inspiration / writing / help with Waynes material before they pop, to help him reinvent and broaden his style to stay relevant. It's no coincidence why him & Drake sounded so similar in 2008-2010.

That ether if them nikkas ever fall out though will be :wow: He's already tempting the gods with this Wayne vs. Drake shyt, knowing Drake is white America's princess right now and caking way more, with no kids, less debt, and a higher professional ceiling. Very interesting to watch this whole shyt slowly play out, brehs. :ohhh:

But they still some phyaggets :umad:

There's alot of merit to this.

I'm definitely on to something, breh... :skip:

It's some fakkit shyt b/c it requires him to shark the hell outta nikkas...

But there's a level of genius to it as well...knowing that the general public doesn't know/care...And that the average fan just gonna run around like "Wayne the greatest! :blessed: Wayne punchlines/swag!" > >>> :usure:

And also somewhat dope if he's turning around n putting the nikkas on... :ehh: That's why I said I got mixed feelings about duke :patrice:

Still a corn-enabling corn fakkeight doe :mjlol:

My faith in hip hop sinks when I open the message board and see 15 thousand views on something like this. What the fukk. I grew up with tupac, biggie, mobb deep, jay z, nas etc.

Youth these days growing up with fukking drake, lil wayne, Nicki Minaj etc. This isn't rap music. Just watered down bullshyt.

I can dig it, but our parents grew up on Soul, Disco & 80s Hip-Hop. A lot of which is EXCELLENT music, some of which was only pushed on US as better than Mobb, Jay, etc for nostalgic reasons. This generation is trash, but for all the hate nikkas like Drake catch...At least they put effort into rhyming better than average lyrics. If this was 05, 06 and Laffy Taffy, Soulja Boy & Lean Wit It Rock Wit It was poppin, I might unequivocally agree with you. But it's not.

This generation WILL have THEIR Pacs, Biggies & Mobbs. Maybe not in the same sense (Lyrical street nikkas), but you've got to understand that with the passing of time, even street nikkas move, are raised, and bred different now. Technology (Facebook, cell phones, messageboards, etc...) affect society as a whole, including Hip-Hop. Where you and I might have been coming off the stoop at X age, these younger nikkas was in the crib baggin bytches without leaving the bed and making sales on an iPhone from the comfort of mommy & daddy crib...When they ain't even HAVE to hustle. shyt just different now, fam...And you ain't got to get with the times, fukk that...But if you can't see it for what it is, then you lost...

Hip-Hop's just a reflection of society in general, homie. And as the times get watered down in some respects (less brutal of a struggle, more accessibility to things that weren't accessible to OUR generation), the music will directly reflect that. So yeah...This generation will have their Pacs & Bigs, but we just might not agree with or recognize them. I respect where you coming from, cuz I feel like that myself sometimes...But if you look at what your parents told you about what you listened to growing up, then feel like this now...You just perpetuating the cycle of having nikkas look at you like :stopitslime: when you speak on anything musical. Even if your opinion is VALID AS fukk.

No hate, just something to let marinate. :myman:
