Maybe the black air forces symbolizes the war shoes he wore during the beef. He took them off, and possibly retired them because it’s over. It may also mean he can always put them back on, and tap into that mode again. The picture also reminds me of the shoe rhyme scheme Drake did on 0 to 100/The Catch Up.

If Cole rap on this same beat and rapped word for word the same people would be calling it boring

3 days from now J. Fold would be apologizing on stage somewhere for how mid it was too :pachaha:

How has this dude turned hype around his releases like DMX in 99 or 50 Cent in 02 levels in the MIDDLE (or latter) parts of his career?
He's saying what people within the culture think/feel at a time where it's highly needed but don't want to lose favor over expressing it, and is a celebrity status veteran doing it.

Considering what was speculated/revealed about Drake when Cole was picking sides, it makes sense that he bowed out. You don't kill your career over Maple Leaf R. Kelly.

He's come too far as an MC to say he straight up "can't hang".

HE said it himself. It don’t matter how far he’s come. It wouldn’t matter how far Ali came if when it came time to step into the ring with George Foreman he instead took the mic from the ref and announced to the citizens of Zaire that he had no desire to fight George, that George’s fight against Joe Frazier was one of the greatest victories of all time, that ever since he touched down on African soil he wasn’t sleeping well. Oh and to top it off he said if George wanted to punch him dead in the face that he’d take it on the chin.

Cole don’t have it. Admitted he didn’t have it. And thats really all there’s is to it. Its disappointing for sure. But there’s no rationalizing it whatsoever.

Dunno how anyone can deny this after what we witnessed. Cole even told breh to take his best shot and he'd take it on the chin. That shyt was insane, I could never defend a rapper for saying that. That's like your sports squad forfeiting a match. How can you say your team would have won if they gave up lol.
I fully believe those rumors that Cole talked to TDE and was told he should get the fukk out the way. Not because he was scared to go bar for bar with Kendrick, he probably didn't wanna be caught standing next to Drake when shyt got personal.

This Ali-Foreman analogy is apples to oranges.

Again, based on what has come out of this beef, this was about personal relationships (Cole being in the middle) and personal flaws (Drake being undressed (pause) for what he is), not ability to rap or trade battle records.

Kendrick would ultimately win that battle. But we're gonna have to agree to disagree that Cole would be straight up washed and stepped down in fear of such. Schoolboy Q isn't having a sidebar with Cole boasting about how raw Kendrick is at Dreamville to make him pivot. The pivot is the rabbit hole of who/what Cole was publicly aligning himself with.

Jay was the biggest Nas fan on the planet and still went at him. To the point he obsessively slept with the man’s baby mother.

Wayne was a HUGE Jay stan and still
Threatened to kidnap his wife and hold her for ransom. And this was years AFTER begging to sign to Roc-A-Fella and Birdman had to shyt it down.

Not saying your wrong about Kendrick’s respect for Wayne but we’ve all seen time and time and TIME again that fandom and rivalry go hand in hand when it comes to music. Rap’s biggest battles have been amongst former friends or rappers who were fans of their idols who turned into competition.

Kendrick seems like he’s in a mode where he don’t give a fukk. He’s not paying homage to NOBODY whose not a west coast legend. He’s not bowing. nikka don’t even sound happy, he sounds pissed. He could be going at anybody, Wayne included.
