Good match. Ricochet for my money is the most athletically gifted of all of the flippy dudes - he had a 450 splash early in the match that was breathtaking in how high he got up.

He's also getting better at knowing when to slow down and tell the story of the match.

Wish I knew what the fukk Tanahashi & Naito were saying.

Gotta believe Tana about to finally get that IC title, can't see him losing ANOTHER title match

Juice did good but he's clearly not over enough to be headlining shows yet

Takahashi and Ricochet was pretty good, Ricochet in the opening seconds :whoo:

Naito dragged a good match out of Juice Robinson. I'm not a fan of Juice but he was good here.
Juice did good here, no complaints. He needs to get some killer instinct.. when he was doing moves to Naito outside against the railing he showed signs of killerness. Maybe it's the dreads

Loved Taka/Ricochet

That was probably Ricochets best performance overall. I always felt he was being too soft and slow in the ring (kind of like RVD). This was his most hard hitting performance, a display of quickness and power that usually takes a backseat to his athleticism

Storytelling was pretty solid too, especially all of Takas signature moves getting countered

Takahashi is the best lightweight in the world right now. No one is fukking with his work.

2017 4/29 9TH MATCH 60 MINUTES LIMIT IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL | NEW JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING
Juice:
‘I don't have much to say- not much at all. I fought my heart out, gave it everything I had, but I let everybody down. I let my friends down, my fans, my family, but most of all I let myself down. I thought tonight was going to be really big for me. I thought I could repeat what happened at Sakura Genesis. But Naito was too much for me. But I'll sleep well knowing that I have it everything I had. He was the better man tonight. He might be the better man period.’

(Naito kicks away the chair prepared for him).

Naito:
‘I really felt Juice Robinson’s heart today. He was just in here thanking me, right? Only, because he had an opponent like me, he was able to be in the main event. He should be grateful. Now, Tanahashi. He did beat EVIL in the semi main event, I'll give him that. But that was a rematch from the New Japan Cup, right? Him and EVIL are one and one now. How does that make him a challenger? Well, I've always said, now he wants a shot, what he says goes around here. But personally, I'll say this. I don't acknowledge his challenge at all. Now, finally. Did you see the crowd in Beppu tonight? Pretty big. But, sad to say, we didn't sell out. Maybe Beppu Beacon Plaza is even harder to sell out than the Tokyo Dome. I won't forget this. Soon, Los Ingobernables De Japon will sell out Beppu Beacon Plaza. For now though, I have another match tomorrow. So, hasta manana! Adios!’
