NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
These bars right here..
“There was times that I was down 'cause I'd thought I'd lost it
But no, low and behold, as my poetry grows
I give all glory to God as the story unfolds..”

These bars right here is basically him saying that he thought he made the wrong move by backing out but thank god he did because he seen how all this shyt is playing out. With the labels, the industry n all that.

this changed my opinion… Cole is firing off at the labels exploiting the beef...

Cole looking for every angle to prove he's not soft :mjlol: .....as if we haven't seen every single rap beef in history turn political. Cole was afraid to shoot the fair one and that's all there is to it. Part of being the king is bearing the stress and ridicule that comes with it.

Yeah, Cole and Aubrey know I'm a selfish nikka, the crown is heavy
I pray they my real friends, if not, I'm YNW Melly

Having the crown ain't easy. It never has been. Even though Aubrey is a bytch ass fraud, I still respect him for stepping up to the plate. He knew the embarrasment he could be facing and he still took the risk. Same with Kendrick. During those 3 weeks after pushups dropped, when the whole world was calling him a p*ssy....Kendrick knew the amount of pressure that was on his shoulders. If he completely shyt the bed, it woulda been his funeral the same way it was drake's. But at the end of the day, they both took on the challenge. And Cole did not. So I don't wanna hear that weak ass shyt. Cole went out like a ho cause he was afraid of the pressure. End of story.

All this right here.

Battles on wax in Hip Hop are really where a lot of legends are made. Cole just ain't built for that kinda sh*t. Dude was literally scared. And as long as we all seen battles in the culture, I still can't recall anybody being scared to engage and get active on a record. That whole move killed dude's legacy. You can't talk sh*t after you ran. The pressure is really what is supposed to bring the best out of MC's. If you can't step up and meet that and at least try to get busy, then you're wack. It's just that simple.

Hip Hop code and rules ain't gonna be rewritten because Cole is p*ssy. Ain't no apologies and "Nah, I didn't mean that. I was just playing" in battles. He f*cked up.

Cole knew the level of genius that kendrick was. He knew Kendrick was capable of a "Not like us" just like he was capable of a "Meet the Graham's". You could lock Cole in the studio for months and he couldn't create anything like those records. Maybe he believed he could match Kendrick with lyrics, but he knew for a fact he couldn't match him in song writing. And that's why he ran for the hills. All that "it was gods plan" bullshyt is just another cop out. fukk outta here. Cole was SHOOK. And he knows it deep down.

Cole himself has talked for years about feeling depressed because he knew kendrick was reaching levels he thought never existed.

Everybody expected him to back down tbh.

Everybody would be shook, specially when youre fighting someone with a flawless legacy and catalog. Drake tried because he thought he had nothing to lose since he was considered wack anyway
