After the jump, you'll find not only descriptions of specific scenes from Marvel Studios and Shane Black's Iron Man 3, but also details on what exactly we should expect from both Aldrich Killian and the Extremis virus. Check it out! [WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD]

In the following excerpts taken from the latest issue of Empire Magazine, new details as to what we should expect from Iron Man 3 have been revealed. The publication was shown 15 minutes of footage from the film, including a sequence which sees Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark seeking the help a ten year old child (played by Insidious' Ty Simpkins). The report also seemingly confirms that Aldrich Killian not only works for The Mandarin, but also that he uses the 'Extremis' virus to gain superhuman powers, perhaps taking on the role of Mallen, the character from the comic book series upon which the movie is loosely based. Pick up the magazine for much, much more!

The scene ends with Stark, bloodied and dazed, flying away not entirely in control of his malfunctioning prototype. He lands hundreds of miles away in a snowy field, where, out of power, he can't get in touch with Pepper. Or Rhodey. Or The Avengers, neatly sidestepping that question.

Breaking into a deserted-looking garage, the tone then zigzags again as Tony is startled by a ten year-old kid, Harley (Ty Simpkins) sparking what [Drew] Pearce calls the film's "sci-fi Capra" phase. "We loved the idea of doing something classically Spielbergian - a kid finds a superhero in a shed. Their relationship is not something you would traditionally see in Spielberg, though; it's bawdier, more fractious."

Extremis is a scientific program invented by Hansen and abused by the Mandarin and his right-hand man, Guy Pearce's slimy Aldrich Killian. It rewrites the operating system of the body, upgrading strength, speed and durability to the very zenith of human possibility.

"We're calling it a biological reality and there's a science behind it that allows people to glow and rip apart Iron Man suits," says Feige. "Frankly, Shane was not interested, and we were not interested, in having another armoured character and another armoured character fight. We've done that twice before."

Marvel StudiosΒ’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemyΒ’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Stark is directing JARVIS and his mechs (YOU and Dummy) in repairing his legion of badly wrecked armors. JARVIS informs Stark about a coded message emitting from space (Stark mentions right from the start that he has set JARVIS to notify him of any cosmic activity). The message turns out to be an SOS from Star-Lord, in his trademark mask. Stark then tells JARVIS to put together the Space Armor using the metal the Wakandan envoy sent over. The scene ends with Stark flying into space, saying "This time... I'm ready."

I need more than that to believe. I hope it happens though. I just don't see them doing it and making the same type of money like they did with the others.
