Mets won't release the results of Santana's MRI, that sounds promising lol.

What in the world :heh: is this unprecedented?

Sandy will be on with Francessa tomorrow spinnning the hell out of the 2013 payroll, the revamping of the bullpen, the 2012 season, and the other atrocities that plague this sorry excuse for a Major League franchise.

What time is he going to be on ? I might actually listen to the WFAN for the first time in years.

Get your tape decks ready.

Someone asked Mike today whether he could get the Wilpons on and Mike said he tried numerous times and they refuse to do interviews. They just have Sandy do the dirty work.

I hope Mike rips Sandy a new one, but Sandy probably won't fall for it.

Only think id say before yall ngigas go postal is wait another year or two and see how low the payroll drops if it does

You cant kill a team for not upping the payroll when theyre not close to winning,if they dotn resign Wright and dont make moves to sign guys when they become competitive then jump off the bridge

Yall got Harvey Wheeler Fulmer Mejia and Famillia so it aint totally bleak yall just need some young hitters

The thing is, the fans aren't killing them for not spending, they're killing them for doing absolutely nothing. Last year with Reyes, with that joke of an offer their was no reason to keep him. He should have been traded for prospects instead they got sandwich picks. Or this season, Scott Harriston should be playing for someone else right now. Even if you only would have gotten Wilpon wanted to try and sell Reyes's chase for a batting crown. With next years All Star game the same thing that happened with Reyes will happen to Wright and possibly dikkey. If the rumor is true about payroll not going up next season it's highly doubtful Wright and dikkey sign extensions this winter. And I'm willing to put my account on the line that if Wright and dikkey hit the open market they're gone, the Mets won't match whatever offer is out there.

As for the kids, outside Harvey and Wheeler the farm has some pitchers with upside but question marks. We overrate the rest of the system. We also have zero impact bats in the system. And to put things into perspective of how prospects are a crap shoot and Mets fans overrate the current system, in 1995 the Mets had 7 players in Baseball America's top 100 prospects, 6 of which were in the top 37. And it still took a few more years before the team became competitive again. And out of those 7 only 2 (Fonzie and Ordonez) actually had a meaningful impact on that team. Even in the 80's it was a bunch of highly touted young kids that improved the team, not just 2 and a bunch of question marks. The Wilpon's are trying to pass off Wheeler and Harvey as saviors of this franchise yet in the system after them are questions marks with upside and nothing. Mets fans won't be eating good for the next 2-3 seasons.

GOSPEL
Sure we have starting pitching, but we won't have an ace til 2016 the earliest(assuming Wheeler pans out). Also, our lineup will be atrocious when Wright signs w/ the Angels or Yankees in 2014, and our pitching will be mediocre w/o dikkey in 2014(Wheeler and Harvey haven't proven anything yet, and our only proven young starters are Gee and Niese).

Prospects is a crap shoot for ALL MLB teams, basically 3 out of 10 prospects will be major leaguers, and only 1 of 10 will be stars. To be fair, Pelf did pan out just not as an ace, Pelf is a suitable innings eater.

With that said, we had numerous prospects pan out over the last 2-3 years, Niese; Gee, Tejada, Murphy, Ike, and to a lesser degree Thole.
