Apparently Rauch has been experiencing tenderness in his throwing arm... then why is he even an option in the bullpen right now?

Ike needs to be sent down or something. He can't be on this team anymore.

Sucks, cause I had such high expectations for this guy after the promise he showed but he's gone the way of Mike Jacobs :sadbron:

Mets went cheap on the draft so far, seems like the same ol Met B.S. Wilpon handcuffing another draft.

NEW YORK -- Left fielder Jason Bay was expected to rejoin the New York Mets on Tuesday, but will not due to illness.

Bay landed on the disabled list April 24 with a fractured rib on his left side, which he suffered on an attempted catch of Gregor Blanco's fly ball the previous day, in Game 2 of a doubleheader against the San Francisco Giants.

Bay served as a designated hitter the past two days for Class A St. Lucie. He had been due to play the outfield for the Florida State League club on Monday night to complete a rehab assignment.

New York Mets' Jason Bay won't return Tuesday vs. Washington Nationals - ESPN New York

at least we're drafting high potential high school bats, and not the low potential "projectable" college pitchers like Humber and Pelfrey.

Actually the only high potential guy they've drafted so far is that SP in the 2nd round, Tyler something or another. The SS doesn't have that much of a high celing, that said he does have a high floor.

Mets just took another high potential guy, Brandon Welch. Mid 90's FB, hard biting slider and throws strikes. Biggest issue is his size, a lot of scouts see him becoming a reliever because of it.
