Btw the running game opened up when Parris Johnson Jr. cane into the game. Even he can't get on the field when everyone is healthy

I think Day's selling point to a lot of these recruits is "we'll get you on field your first two true years and by your third year you'll be starting and you can go to league after as a 21 year old"

That works when guys develop. But when it doesn't, it creates holes in the roster like right now

At this point I'm convinced it's a personnel issue. The most talented players appear to be true underclassmen and coaches are essentially learning their roster on the go.

It really is the drawback to the uber recruiting era under Day. Lotta of these 4th year juniors and 3rd year sophomores are four star recruits who have been waiting their turn, but they don't look they're part of the best 11 on the field
After that horrible defensive performance against Bama in the championship I thought for sure they would look stronger this year.

But really the coaches have to look in the mirror, all the talent in the world and we look like THIS

Defensive staff needs a FULL OVERHAUL

Disappointed by the offense today. Hopefully it was just a minor setback and they will get their shyt back together next week. CJ needs to start getting over these fukking early game nerves through. It's now impacting the flow of the offensive game plan. As for the defense, I wasn't expecting a miracle but wanted to see some progress. Defensive line still an issue, LB play was alright and the secondary had their moments. I'm not going to panic because I know that this is a reset and they need a few games to figure shyt out again and get the best backfield in. It's still September and there is plenty of football left to be played. The team has to keep improving each week because conference play will be here shortly.

Nah @OSUBaneBrown . Gotta start protecting these kids from themselves. Between JT Barrett, Justin Fields, and other shyt, mfs got a knack for letting hurt kids go out and play and risk it all, putting that potential generation wealth at risk. If he's hurt, sit him. Yeah, McCord or whoever probably gonna ball tf out. It's Akron. They'll probably look like the 2nd coming of Troy Smith. It is what it is. It's competition.

Welp, a lot of the fans wanted to see the backups play and now they get their opportunity. Stroud better hope they don't ball off or he may lose his spot. We all know that his shoulder is hurting but if you want to play on the big stage, you have to suck it up at times.
Yeah. I noticed he would stretch his shoulder out a lot in the Minnesota game. And then when the media had their one full practice to watch all camp, they said he only threw a few deep balls but took the rest of the day off for load management. Wonder if this has been going on for a while. If a week off makes some of the missed passes more accurate, it’s only for the better. Hope McCord kills it, but I also feel like if he lights it up against Akron people will be calling for him to be the starter. But if Stroud played and killed it they’ll say it’s just Akron.

I agree with you to a certain extent but if the other two QBs perform well enough to earn more PT, then that will open the door for CJ to lose his job. We all know that you can lose your spot for good because of an injury. I don't want him to risk serious damage if he truly hurt but if he just dealing with soreness that will not cause him any further damage, you have to protect your spot first and foremost. I just don't want him to lose a golden opportunity if it something that he can manage for a quarter or two because in the bigger picture of things, he is not the main issue of the team performance so far but people want to point their fingers at him because they got spoiled of the past QBs that play before and he hasn't look the total part yet.
