Aight breh, I just listened to the whole thing. I see a BIG difference between these beats and the ones on Poolside. You can tell that you were really just starting off because most of the tracks although have nice melodies and instruments come off sounding like loops with a few tweaks here and there while the tracks on Poolside sounded more like complete beats that were built up and structured better.

The beats I felt the most were Mr. Mingus, Mr. Washington, and Mr. Maman and those 3 don't see beats like Courtship Withdrawal or Biddies in Bikinis

The other beats I felt had certain sounds/instruments that clashed with what the vibe was. Like sometimes the beat will sound depressing which is cool, but then you'll have a lil happy type sound that will pop up and throw off the whole vibe. You really didn't have this problem with Poolside (except for Post Traumatic but you still made that work)so I saw the improvement you made. I look at this tape like you figuring out your style and Poolside as the one where you have a style chosen and just took it further.

Keep it up breh

Thanks for the feedback bro. Very thorough. Each of my "albums" is me practicing a certain technique, skill. It's great practice.

Poolside was me trying to layer multiple samples together to create a evolving sound. Mr. Droog was me trying to learn new techniques by trying to interpret other musician's styles. Poolside and Mr. Droog were actually done within a few weeks of each other. Poolside came first.

I am still learning and developing my style...I have only been doing this for real for less than a year. So i'm learning more with each album.

Thanks again for the listen and feedback.
