We tried that and all people did was complain that Aang was better.

Personally I liked Korra though

That said, there are supposed to be more animated movies after this and rumor is the last one will be about the Avatar after Korra.

I would have wanted Aang and co before they moved on to Korra. At this point there’s no reason to go back. We already know the original team’s fate. That effectively makes this filler.

I don't get why they give this franchise the Star Wars treatment
they need to just keep going forward or even far backward for more stories
