Beat hard AF. You should have put Cage on this one. He could have went CRAZY on that.

Word, thank you. What do you like specifically about the beat? I produced it. It was tough to mix.
It has a dark, prime Necro vibe. Dark and dreary, but not slow. The record pullback is a great touch. You might want to explore being a producer. Your beats are regularly better than 90% of internet/ YouTube rappers. This beat made me want to rap, which says it all.

Thank you so much! I appreciate that a tonne, especially coming from you because I respect alot of your opinions on here.

I worked for 7 months or more just producing this album. All the beats are grimy with only one more chill one. A break from the anger to show responsibility, love and new visions.

Thanks again @TripleAgent !!!

I agree

Something you do well is set a good dreary vibe. Not everyone is gon like every rapper. Im a see good in everything guy. I agree with this take. You got that vibe down and not a lot of people imo do it well. That you 100% do well. Regardless of how people think about ya rap.

Like @Crumple you producing a beat for a cage solo or producing for mcs would be dope imo.

Thank you so much for those words @Bugzbunny129

I'm going to add it to my "What the fans want" list.

Whenever someone likes a track or a part of a track of mine I note it down. It's so I know I'm in the right direction for my music.

On a side note, I remember reading your reply.

Then what you said stuck in my head for months but I couldn't find what topic it was from.

I literally searched pages and like ten pages of my contributed replies and still couldn't find it.

I finally did. You made me think of the vibe and tone of my tracks. I'm going to keep that in mind for my next album.

Big Thanks again Bugz!

Also, @Bugzbunny129 you mentioned producing for Cage.

Not sure if you heard the new track with Cage I did - Glassine Envelopes. I produced it.

We talked on the phone alot about the concept and I gave him 5 beats to choose from. He chose this one and wrote to it first. After hearing it, I wrote my verse. He also liked the art for it. I tagged the Glassine Envelopes font with a Sharpie Chisel tip marker.

Let me know what you think.

Yea ive heard all ya stuff with him bro. I think yall have 3 right? Atleast 2 i know.

Ive seen ya tracks on soulseek searching for cage songs in 320kb

And listen man. People gon be sticklers about many things in the game. Not everyone is gonna like everyones raps. Especially the vibe ya on but i think you know that.

But imo ya beat game is 100% dope if thats what ya doing. Id stick to it and try to send beats to adjacent artists because a lot of people started over prime necro beats. If ya can knock out good beats in that style a lot of rappers would mess with it that might not mess with your actual music. So do both. Opening it up to others rappers i think would he good for ya but thats just my opinion idk what its worth. Just what i think would help ya get some success. I can tell you love it. Dont stop.

Then instead of paying cage you can pay an up and comer or maybe even a while cage thing tho i assume hes expensive. Until you got your own thing on the side.

I read what you wrote.

I keep my business private for the most part.

To pay an up and coming rapper and give him a free beat is a lose for me.

I get paid off Spotify several times a month.

If a collab makes sense and benefits both people cool. If not I won't do it.

When I recorded with Kool Keith and Cage they were collabs that I learned a tonne from.

If artists have alot of Spotify listeners and can bring more that 25 people at a show - that's who I like to work with.

Well i hope you read it you asked me to give my opinion. You know you coulda just pmd me but instead you wanted to humble brag in public huh lmao. I get it crump. Get ya shyt off.

Listen brother i respect how you have a no quitter attitude snd strong will. I see guys come at you sideways for 15 years and you handle it better than most. Maybe thats what you think i was doing but i wasnt. It actually bothers me when i see people come at you.

But you replied to an old ass post talking about how what i said resonated with you for months and then asked what I thought after we talked in PMs about making beats prior and had an entire discussion. There are 2 people in here saying we like ya beats and you should spread ya wings. Because youre a nice respectful guy I said id try to give ya my 2 cents and help ya out ya since you said you want, “fan opinions”…

Instead of thinking about what I said and and discussing it I can tell ya kinda miffed and took it negatively because ya bringing up ya get paid off spotify, work with big artists already, working with an up and comer is a “loss” for you and bringing up you dont discuss “business” when the point was getting more for less which you just said you need to do.

I mean if you wan have a one sided conversation with yaself instead of me crump … by all means do so. I dont need to take the time to do this. But It seems youve made ya mind up already. If you gotta ask “fans” for their opinions so you can custom Tailor ya stuff, your not in the place you think you are despite what ya saying. “Whatvthe fans want”. Crump we are members of the coli. Not FANS. 2 coli members took the time to listen to ya work and give support said you should try and produce for other rappers some. So you wantvthe opinion or not?

What your saying about guys who cant pack 25 people in a show, guys who pack 100 are saying about you. Good music creates fans.. The cage collabs are great. You prolly got more looks from them than anything else . Thats how I found you pre Coli..

But what you gon collab with same guy over and over? That dont make business sense. I said an up and comer because of price which you just confirmed is an issue and something you want a return on… I said “adjacent artists”. Idk why youre focusing on the “up and clming” part as if that means a total nobody and implying then that you’re not a nobody. Theres a long gap between nobody and the popularity of cage or keith.

Finding a GOOD rapper you believe in, who has a sound that fits your beats and having a production side project… idk how finding a good collaborator in ya area is a loss. Did roc marci lose when he produced for stovegod? Did alchemist lose when he worked with every ug guy smaller than him to this day? mf doom on take me to ya leader with all those nameless rappers who only have one song? L?

I mean bro if ya doing so well, why you asking? Why do you need another rapper to help get atleast 25 people in a show? Why do you gotta collab at all if if success is in.

All you gotta do is email beats to guys see if they wan work and if ya popping like that, they will. And you wont have to pay. Theyll donit for exposure and youll get paid when you release it. I dont see how having an extra weapon in ya arsenal is a loss for you. If youre popping way you are saying, then they should be paying you and coming to you. Yet they arent. Thats a clue crump.

I read all of that too.

I just felt on edge that you said focus on beats instead of rapping.

My words, voice and lyrics are just as important.

When people big up my beats and put my lyrics to the side they aren't fans. I know you're not a fan that's why I used my "What the fans want" list carefully.

My fans love me for who I am.

I make music for me and my fans.

I disagree that you said if I listen to them I'm in the wrong place.

You know how many of my favorite rappers I only check for their old work because I feel they fell off? Changing their voice, brand, sound, content?

Many.

My fans keep me on point. That's why people get dark, hardcore and clever Hip hop from me for the last 22 years.

People with 100 show draw have never given me advice and I don't know any locals who can sustain that.

I appreciate that you brought light to what Alchemist and Doom did.

But after my 12 hour real work days, my girl, my family - I don't have time for production projects.

I created many albums over a 22 year period.

I realised for my 2014 album I had 5 videos for it.

Now I only make one video per album.

I have to balance my life.

I appreciate what you said.

Sorry if I came off as "miffed" like you said.

What whatever increases my market standing and profit and ability to sustain Cataphonic Productions I'm all for.
