Never really understood the idea of early access games

Early access is a great way for devs to get feedback on their games, and make a little cash to push through the final development struggles.

It eliminates the need to “rush” a game out.

On the flip side it gives fans a chance to get in early and shape how the game ends up.

Win, Win on both sides. More games should do EA.

i don't think most even have a concept of what early access even is - because it existed before Steam made it a practical option for a smaller and larger devs alike

people should be fr asking for legit early access more than dlc/roadmaps/collectors edition bundles if anything....

a company is objectively more likely to screw people over when they've got review embargos and dlc planned years out than b company that's open from the jump
