No the Nets won't win a title anytime soon, but if Proky makes them a playoff squad (which they are on paper) then he did way more than the previous Nets ownership has in the last decade.

No nets fan is expecting title but proky has taken this team from a joke in jersey to dwight howard requesting a trade here, selling more merchandise in a couple months than we have in the past 5 years COMBINED, a playoff team and a big market in a billion dollar arena. Just making the playoffs would be good.
Its also good having an owner who wants to win a championship not just turn a profit. I dont mind him making these statements because it shows he will do what it takes to get there.

Billy kings moves had nothing to do with nets not getting dwight.
Word trading a lottery pick that ended up being #6 overall for gerald wallace and giving away 4-5 expiring contracts for joe johnson stripped the nets of any assets they had to acquire dwight
A #6 pick,2-3 future 1st round picks,marshon brooks,and 18-20 mil in expiring contracts>>>>>That bullshyt the magic got

That 6 pick was not getting the nets dwight howard. Orlando was not trading dwight to the nets at all. That deal with the expiring contracts was on the table and orlando did not want that deal hence why they pulled the trigger on the joe johnson deal. The nets offered everything under the sun to orlando and they always said no.
